Usher’s Father’s Day Tribute from His Kids Was Just What the Singer Wanted

Father’s Day is a special celebration to honor amazing dads and R&B singer Usher definitely felt the love.

The “You Make Me Wanna” artist posted a video of his two sons Usher Raymond V and Navivyd Ely, wishing him a heartwarming “Happy Father’s Day” message.

In the video the two boys told their dad to never “lose your magic” and that “you’ve done a lot of cool stuff.” Video clips of the singer replayed in the background as Raymond V and Naviyd recounted highlights of Usher’s music career. The boys enthusiastically praised the artist for being a great father.

“The most important performance of all is being our dad! Happy Father’s Day, love ya,” the duo added.

Usher proudly responded to his children’s video message and wrote, “This was the best gift I’ve received in some time!! I was so proud…just wanted to share my little gentlemen’s work and salute all the real fathers out there. Those who are present for your children and being the strong men that choose to be there….for your children.”

Usher’s two sons came from his first marriage with his ex-wife and celebrity wardrobe stylist Tameka Foster. The two faced off in a nasty divorce over custody of their children in 2013. The judge reportedly dismissed Foster’s case and granted Usher primary custody of Usher V and Navivyd, People Magazine reported. The pair also experienced the loss the stylist’s eldest son Kile Glover in 2012 after he suffered from a boating accident and died of heart failure.

The music artist is currently battling herpes claims from several different women that will be tried in a Los Angeles Superior Court according to the AJC. Usher is being accused of not sharing his sexual diagnosis with several people he slept with and allegedly infected them. Subsequently, his wife Grace Miquel, of over two years, filed for divorce on April 10 and cited irreconcilable differences.
