Drake’s Dad Thinks He Has the Answer for the #MeToo Movement, ‘Stop Going to the Hotels’

Some Controversial Advice

Drake's dad Dennis Graham thinks the #MeToo movement wouldn't be necessary if women avoided putting themselves in potentially dangerous situations.

Drake’s dad says there’s a common factor in the existence of the #MeToo movement. And it doesn’t involve men.

“There is something that I want to say to these young ladies that allow themselves to go and be with a man in their rooms or whatever,” Graham tells TMZ Thursday, June 14. “Stop going to the hotels. Same with Bill Cosby. Stop going to their rooms. You don’t have to be in their room. Take yo ass home!”

He added that there is only one side to blame in these cases and women should take it upon themselves not to go into a man’s room or anywhere “you might think a man is going to have anything to do with raping you or anything else.”

Graham’s remarks come at a time when many male celebrities have been getting accused of sexually harassing, assaulting or raping women. They include R. Kelly, Nelly and Jamie Foxx, the latter two of which have each faced litigation over the claims.

Several people have been taking sides throughout the #MeToo movement, which was reignited after accusations were levied against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein last fall. And in response to what Drake’s dad said, others have also given their stance from both sides of the issue.

“He’s telling the truth tho! Why put yourself in a potentially uncomfortable situation.”

“Yeah, women…men can’t be held accountable for their actions!! It’s your fault for being a woman and having a vagina! Stay home if you don’t want it touched!”

“I kinda somewhat agree… the Bill Cosby thing… umm she took pills that he gave her… why? She went back to his place twice… most of the incidents are in their home or hotel rooms… but there are a lot of incidents where you can’t avoid it. Sooo it’s a two-way street.”

You know what would make the #metoo movement unnecessary? If men stopped sexually assaulting women.”
