Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent’s latest virtual dust-up was spurred by none other than a woman — and it’s the same woman is taking legal action against the rapper.
Things began after 50 posted the following on Instagram Saturday, May 26.
“Somebody please tell me why Floyd would be doing this right now? l don’t understand this one. #get the strap,” the rapper posted after sharing a poster for a Memorial Day weekend party at the Las Vegas strip club “Girl Collection,” which Mayweather invested in, that Teairra Marí hosted.
The singer was recently the target of alleged revenge porn, which she has filed a lawsuit over. 50 cent is listed as a defendant in the case.
Apparently, Mayweather caught wind of the shade and bypassed social media completely to talk to him via iMessage.
“You don’t give a f— about nobody but yourself all you do is dog your own people.” Mayweather said, asserting that despite the lawsuit his ex-girlfriend, Shantel Jackson filed, he’s “still cool with her.” Jackson accused the champion boxer of assault, battery, invasion of privacy and defamation. However, Mayweather believes his baby mama’s, Daphne Joy’s, friendship with Jackson warrants the collaboration.
50, who had just arrived in Miami, responded and added his own commentary on Instagram.
“Floyd is on some bulls— again, he done f—ed the money up. Now he mad about old s—. I’m not selling your cars back, champ. You are [a] n—-. Get the strap.”
But that wasn’t all.
50 added another string of text messages sent between the pair, where Mayweather charged he never “spoke bad about you or tried to degrade you.” Once again, he also blasted 50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson for being selfish.
“We will talk later,” he concluded.
“Oh, Floyd, f— you, n—-” 50 responded. “You still mad because I said your ass can’t READ. … Get off the bulls—, I’m in the room now. FaceTime.”
Mayweather has remained quiet on the matter but such a beef between the pair isn’t new.
50 has regularly dissed Mayweather’s lack of reading skills and trolled the TMT creator in 2014, taking aim at rapper Nelly sleeping with his baby mama, Melissa, and then getting with Mayweather’s ex, Miss Jackson.
In response, several fans found humor in the recent pettiness.
