50 Cent Facing Legal Action After Reposting Sexually Explicit Clips of Singer

After sexually explicit videos and images of singer-songwriter Teairra Marí were leaked online last week, the reality star is taking legal action against her ex-boyfriend and his alleged pal 50 Cent.

Attorney Lisa Bloom issued a press release Wednesday on Marí’s behalf stating the reality star’s ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, and 50 conspired to release video and photos of Marí performing sexual acts.

“Mari alleges that this post was designed to publicly humiliate her after she had broken up with him,” Bloom said May 16.

Abdul-Ahad used the “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” star’s password to gain access to her Instagram page and post the private sex tape footage.

Bloom, who is representing Marí with Walter Mosley, also alleges 50 is a “close friend” of Abdul-Ahad’s and “immediately” reposted the images for his 18 million followers to see using his catchphrase, “get the strap.”

A press conference is scheduled in Los Angeles Thursday, May 17, where Bloom will explain what legal action will be taken against 50 and Abdul-Ahad.

50 issued a response to the suit by posting a photo of himself and Bloom’s mother, high-powered attorney Gloria Allred, who is representing a woman who is suing Chris Brown for a rape and sexual assault at the singer’s home.

“Oh Lisa stop, 🤨don’t make me tell your mom. … 😡get the strap,” he captioned the image.

Following the leak, Marí issued a statement saying, “my social media was compromised by someone who I felt was deserving of my love and trust.

“That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred,” Mari added. “Moving forward, I recognize the need to be more cautious and discerning.”

She noted, “revenge porn is a crime in California and I will be in pursuit of justice.”
