After Kim Kardashian issued a defense of husband Kanye Wests’ behavior — including his adoration of President Donald Trump — rapper Azealia Banks tore into her on Instagram.

West’s latest Twitter spree Wednesday, April 25, included him proclaiming he has no political affiliations and that he and Trump are “dragon energy.” Amid reports that West has been behaving erratically, Kardashian tweeted that the media is “trying to demonize my husband.”

“Your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary,” she continued. “So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair.

“He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America?” she added in another tweet. “Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive.”

However, it was Kardashian’s proclamation that West is “ahead of his time” that really got under Banks’ skin.

“No @kimkardashian Kanye is not ahead of his time,” Banks wrote Wednesday. “I said alllll of these things during the election. I had an actual reason for it. Never once did I call Trump a good person or say he deserves ‘love.'”

Banks then charged that West and his wife were getting Black people riled up to drive interest in West’s new music and the provocative MC wasn’t buying into it.

“Outrage is internet engagement algorithm 101, y’all are not slick,” Banks continued. “Nothing at all profound, necessary or eloquent about anything your husband says. I wish you would make him read a book cover to cover before you send that Black man into a world of white people with such base level theories as well as his very limited vernacular as pertaining to any of the pseudo-intellectual things he tries to say. Kanye will never be the president and you will never ever be the first lady. Give it up sis.”

Banks, who made headlines in December for supporting Trump’s Muslim ban, had significant support from her followers.

“Let ’em know,” someone commented.

Another wrote, “This is why I follow u, this is why I love u!!”

“HELL YEAH AZEALIA!!! BRAVO!!!! 100% AGREE WITH YOU! 👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏,” someone else said.

“This is a PROPER response to one of the most stupid posts ever made and it’s no shade, it’s just the str8 up truth plain and simple,” another fan said.

“Preach!!!!!!!!” someone else simply wrote.
