Is Tamar Braxton siding with her soon-to-be ex-husband Vincent Herbert over her family?
It’s possible because according to TMZ the singer and former talk show host is refusing to promote the upcoming season of her reality show “Braxton Family Values.” Basically, Tamar feels the producers are creating fake story lines to make Vincent look like the villain in the split.
She also accused her mother and sisters of trying to destroy him, while also doing whatever it takes to secure high ratings for the show.
“[Tamar is upset that her family would] stoop so low for personal gain,” said an inside source.
Some of the divorce will be shown on the new season of “Braxton Family Values,” so it’s evident that Tamar isn’t opposed to revealing at least some of the details.
In fact, a clip of the new season surfaced earlier this week, where Tamar broke the news of her impending divorce to her sisters.
“Are you getting a divorce?” asked Toni.
“Yup,” Tamar replied. “I am. 1,000 percent.”
Then, after she fooled around with a microphone for a bit, the “Love and War” singer said that her sister Trina could ask about the split as well.
“What did Vince say when you told him you wanted a divorce?” asked Trina.
“He said, ‘Are you sure you don’t want to go to counseling?'” answered Tamar.
As we previously reported, the former couple split in October of 2017 after being married for almost nine years. Shortly after, Tamar’s mother Evelyn Braxton said Vincent is a danger to her daughter, and he’s actually capable of killing her — which ended up causing friction between the two women.
“Tamar is not speaking to her mother right now after [she] told cameras Vince needs to keep his hands off of her,” said a source. “She added fuel to domestic violence rumors.”
From here, it’ll be interesting to see if Tamar’s attempt to remove fake storylines from the show will work, or if it falls all the way flat. You can see for yourself throughout the season when the first episode premieres on Thursday, March 22 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
