On March. 8, what was supposed to be a regular day in a math class at Pickering High School in Louisiana turned out to be much more than anyone expected. Britny Taylor, a student at the high school posted an appalling message left by her math teacher Randolph Perez targeting another student who allegedly stole his computer mouse.

Taylor said the teacher projected this message on the board for the class to see, “To the moronic, self obsessed ethnic who stole the mouse from the back computer: the fact that you do not know both your parents, and that the so called adults that are caring for you can not afford a five dollar part because they are too busy buying drugs and coring cigars at the Shop-Rite does not change the fact that you are nothing more than a two bit thief and a waste of carbon and oxygen.”

Taylor took a picture of the message and posted it to her facebook in a now deleted post. It didn’t take much time for others to be outraged and the post go viral.

The Vernon Parish Schools Board Assistant Superintendent Mike Kay said that he and the district are taking this situation very seriously. Kay said, “We’re looking into the situation.” He continued, “I can tell you that the viewpoint that was posted on that board was nowhere near the stance of the Vernon Parish School Board. We don’t subscribe to those beliefs, nor do we condone that action.”

Perez was reportedly out on vacation since the post went viral. However, Kay noted that when he returns Monday it will be addressed. Adding, “It’s a difficult situation, but I can assure you that we will be addressing this, and it will be dealt with severely.”
