Singer Mary J. Blige can live up to the refrain “no more drama” once more.
After a tumultuous fight that included Issacs, Blige’s former manager, requesting increased alimony, TMZ reported Monday, March 5 that there won’t be a week-long trial because a deal was reached Friday, March 2.
Ahead of the settlement in January, Issacs had claimed he’d suffered from emotional distress that led him to be hospitalized. Two years before then, Issacs wanted up to $129,000, but Blige was only required to pay $30,000 by 2017. However, the “Thick Of It” singer was also made responsible for her ex’s $235,000 in attorney’s fees.
Blige filed to divorce Issacs in June 2016 after 12 years stating in a statement she was “saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would.”
