Sean Combs- aka Diddy, Puffy or Love- made an appearance on Ellen yesterday Feb.8. The superstar discussed everything from showing up late to the show, his 2004 Super Bowl performance that was overshadowed by the Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson breast controversy and his infamous photo cropping he now labels “Diddy-crop.”
The ‘Diddy-crop’ is when someone intentionally crops people out of the original picture. The term is named after P-Diddy because he is notable for cropping celebrities out of photos he posts on social media.
Ellen asked Diddy to explain the recent “Diddy-Crop” that has social media talking. The music mogul discussed the original Grammys photo of Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, Nas, and Fabolous. But on Diddy’s Instagram, the picture only contained Jay- Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Nas.

The “Diddy-Shop”:
Diddy told Ellen that he isn’t always aware of when the cropping takes place. Diddy placed the blame on this “Diddy Crop” on “this young kid that works for me … sometimes my photography editor doesn’t let me know when he’s..taking people out of the picture… he wanted a picture of Jay-Z, Nas and Kendrick only.” Diddy said now “my friends haven’t been talking to me in like two weeks.”
