Earlier today Jan. 8, a tweet was posted on Issa Rae’s account claiming that she overheard someone mistakenly refer to Viola Davis as Alfre Woodward at the Golden Globes. The tweet read, “Overheard: Alfre Woodard looks amazing” … “Oh I didn’t see her. But Viola Davis looks great”… “Oh that’s who I meant. That’s who I meant.” Moments later the tweet was deleted from her account.
Both Alfre Woodard and Viola Davis are both beautiful black queens and award-winning actresses, but many fans are confused on how the anonymous person mixed up the identities of the two. One social media user wrote, “Different skin tones & different bodies of work too smh.”

Although Issa decided not to share the name of the person who made this faulty comment, people want to know “Who said it sis”?
Okay, but who called Viola Alfre Woodard @IssaRae
