Russell Simmons agreed to a lie detector test to prove he did not sexually assault model Keri Claussen Khalighi. The model accused Simmons of forcing her to perform oral sex while film director Brett Ratner watched. Khalighi was 17 at the time of the incident which allegedly took place in 1991. According to TMZ, who also obtained the photo, Simmons team said the test was administered by a “national leader in the field of polygraphing.”

Simmons attorney Michael Sterling and E. Carlos Tanner, who initially advised against the polygraph, said the former Dej Jam exec passed the test. There are plans for Simmons to take the test for each of the other 4 women who claimed he assaulted them.

Earlier today, Simmons created a #notme campaign but insists that it isn’t to “diminish the #metoo movement in any way but to hold his accusers accountable.

The music mogul has a long road ahead to clear his name. Los Angeles Times reports that the NYPD’s special victims unit has launched an investigation into the cases that took place in the city.

“We were made aware of the alleged crime through the media, and we anticipate there will be more who come forward,” a source told the publication. Adding, “We’re in the process of setting up interviews and if any victims want to come forward, they should contact us.”
