Barack Obama thinks it’s time for more women to take office. The former President said as much during a meeting with “Les Napoleons” in Paris, and many on social media are sounding off.

During the Saturday, Dec. 2 sitdown with the 2014-founded French communications network, Obama seemed to comment on the ongoing sexual assault scandal that has taken over politics and media. According to Obama, more women should be in leadership roles “because men seem to be having some problems these days,” according to AFP.

It’s true, men in power have been having a few issues with focusing on professionalism at work. Although the Harvey Weinstein scandal was the catalyst for sexual assault claims, Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and ex-Fox News host Bill O’Reilly were pushed out before then, beginning last year.

“Not to generalize but women seem to have a better capacity than men do, partly because of their socialization,” Obama added.

Online, many have weighed in on his perspective.
