In case Gilbert Arenas wasn’t clear about what he thinks of Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o’s looks before, he recently reiterated his thoughts.
Commenting on a Saturday, July 22, photo of Nyong’o splashing in the waters of Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico, the former NBA point guard bashed the “12 Years a Slave” actress.
“How about her face, though? Lights off,” he wrote.
Arenas also clapped back at women who slammed him for criticizing Nyong’o’s appearance, adding “I’ll still beat … just with the lights off but she is glowing, though.”
The backlash against Arenas was fierce as Twitter users weighed in.

This isn’t the first time Arenas has dissed Nyong’o. In April, he went on an Instagram rant bashing dark-skinned women.
“She’s cute when the lights are off ” he said before ranting against Kenyan model Ajuma Nasenyana, with, “Sorry, but ewww.”
Regardless of Arena’s hangups about Nyong’o, she had many people who gushed over her dark skin.
