Kanye West has largely kept a low profile after his reported hospitalization last year and MC Lyte has written a letter pondering his musical return.
“My dear brother, you are on my mind,” the iconic rapper wrote on Instagram Sunday, June 25, when she attended the BET Awards. “Where are you? … How you feel…will we ever hear how you feel? We miss you. Can’t wait to hear that next thing. Those words. That slay. So slick. Sing your song my brother, Jesus Walks…He does, your [sic] are, because he was. He is, he lives, ask & believe, he’ll manifest the gift—-NEW LIFE —We miss you Kanye…”
West has slowly been making his way back into public life, most recently stepping out with wife, Kim Kardashian, to visit a friend Saturday, June 24, where they was snapped showing PDA. The pair also is reportedly hiring a surrogate to have their third child.
It’s not clear if West has seen MC Lyte’s note, but the message has fans sharing their own feelings about the “Ultralight Beam” performer.
Several appreciated the lyricist’s note.
Some were concerned about West.
Others had hope for him.
