The bodyguard for a prominent white supremacist remains hospitalized after being stabbed nine times by two suspects following a pro-Trump rally over the weekend.

Antonio Foreman, bodyguard for popular alt-right internet personality Tim “@BakedAlaska” Gionet, was attacked in a Santa Monica, Calif., parking garage Saturday, June 17, after getting into a verbal dispute with assailants Edgar Khodzhasaryan, 30, and Arsen Bekverdyan, 31, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Sarah Ardalani, spokeswoman for the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, said the men were charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon in the stabbing. Both are being held in lieu of a $1 million bond.

Though he didn’t witness the attack, Goinet took to social media to tell his more than 175,000 loyal Twitter followers that Foreman was targeted for being white and an avid supporter of President Donald Trump. Authorities flatly denied that claim, however, saying that the argument between Foreman and the two assailants wasn’t politically or racially fueled.

“There’s nothing here that would lead us to believe it was targeted or a hate crime or anything like that,” said Santa Monica Police Department spokesman Lt. Saul Rodriguez.

A crowdfunding page has since been launched to help the injured bodyguard pay his medical bills. While Foreman is a professional bodyguard, he doesn’t have health insurance, which is why his friends are asking for $125,000 to help cover his treatment.

“Tony is a victim of a vicious anti-white hate crime, that almost became an anti-white murder. Let’s help him get back on his feet — literally,” the page reads. “Anti-Trump and anti-white violence is escalating in the United States of America. From eggs, to fists, to bike locks, and now knives, everyday Trump supporters seem to be in real danger in their own country.”

Gionet noted that Foreman is also affiliated with the Oathkeepers, an organization largely comprised of former police officers and military veterans that provides protection to far-right protesters at pro-Trump rallies.
