Atlanta Black Star latest original video challenges preconceived notions that millennials are progressive.

While many believe that millennials have learned from the sins of the past, recent studies show they are no different than baby boomers when it comes to race. A 2012 study conducted by Syracuse University revealed that “white millennials appear to be no less prejudiced than the rest of the white population.”

Figures from the 2016 presidential election indicated that millennials may not be as progressive as one may think. Young white people that voted for Trump made up 48 percent of his total election night tally, but only 43 percent of young whites voted for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. What is more startling is that many young white people believe they are victims of discrimination just like nonwhites.
