Did the DOJ Put Black People in Danger? See What a Law Enforcement Source Leaked to the Press

A police bulletin released Wednesday claims that the Black Guerilla Family gang will attack law enforcement nationwide during “Black August.”

The BGF created the “Black August” holiday in the 1970s to pay respect to fallen members.

According to an Aug. 3 report from San Francisco’s ABC 7, a source in law enforcement leaked the bulletin to reporter Dan Noyes yesterday.

Now, national law enforcement agencies are on high alert. The bulletin comes from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Sacramento Intelligence Unit and the FBI’s National Gang Intelligence Center.

Also included in the bulletin was a picture depicting a mountain gorilla eating a pig.

In addition, the bulletin claims that the BGF is seeking revenge for member Hugo Pinell, who was killed in a Sacramento state prison riot last year.

Mary Ratcliff, local San Francisco writer and editor of the San Francisco Bay View, tells ABC 7 that she is surprised her paper was also mentioned in the bulletin.

The paper published several articles suggesting that Pinell’s death was caused by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

“This statement from the department of justice puts Black people in danger,” Ratcliff points out. “Because it is promoting the idea that there is a war going on between Black people and law enforcement.”
