Stacey Dash is continuing her assault on BET. This time, she is taking aim at Jesse Williams, whose moving June 26 BET Awards speech on racism and cultural appropriation won praise in the Black community.

The actress teased the blog post on Twitter Wednesday morning calling Williams’ speech “racist.”

She followed with another tweet asking users if they wanted to see “the perfect example of a Hollywood plantation slave,” alluding to Williams as such.

In the June 29 Patheos blog post, the Fox News contributor accused BET of “keeping racism and segregation alive.” She called Williams’ Humanitarian Award acceptance speech a “tirade” that was  “nothing short of an attack on white people.”

Dash is unsupportive of the “Grey’s Anatomy” star’s remarks in which he challenged white people for “burying Black people out of sight and out of mind while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment like oil” and “ghettoizing and demeaning our creations, then stealing them.”

“You’ve just seen the perfect example of a Hollywood plantation slave!” she wrote. “Sorry, Mr. Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your [sic] talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.”

She then took aim at Williams’ stance on cultural appropriation, and pointed to his reliance on white people, noting BET has white owners.

“Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents [sic] has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom YOU DON’T NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED.”

“That chip on the shoulders of people like you will weigh you down and keep you from flying free. But true freedom is never free,” she continued, referring to Williams’ statement in which he lamented about the promise of freedom.

“Freedom is somehow always conditional here,” he said at the BET Awards. ” ‘You’re free,’ they keep on telling us… Now, freedom is always coming in the hereafter. But, you know what though, the hereafter is a hustle. We want it now.”

Dash continued, “You have to know how to fly. If anyone is making you feel this way its [sic] you. Living in a psychological prison of your own making. If anyone is GHETTO-IZING anyone, it’s people like you letting the BETs and other media outlets portray us in stereotypes.”
