New Study Gives Black Women Another Reason to Go Natural

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine published a study in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology giving Black women further evidence on the dangers of wearing weaves and hair extensions. The study claims excessive pulling of hair and wearing styles too long contributes to traction alopecia, a common form of hair loss suffered by Black women. However, there are ways to prevent the damaging effects of this condition.
