In a Monday appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show, Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton was asked by DJs what she carried in her bag. Clinton’s surprising answer “hot sauce” was viewed by the DJs as pandering.
The spicy condiment has been recently referenced in Beyoncé’s latest single “Formation.” Many believe the comment is another misstep in the Clinton campaign’s approach to Black people. In the video above, Sheriff Clarke states that the comment is obvious pandering to Black voters and that “this is dehumanizing, embarrassing, and disgusting.” This is surprising coming from Clarke who called Black Lives Matter protesters “sub-human creeps.”
However, Clinton has been known to carry hot sauce in the past.
