Fact: Teachers Have the Right To Beat Your Kids in 19 States

Around the country, teachers are allowed to use corporal punishment on students. Black students are disproportionately impacted by this kind of punishment. This practice has been outlawed in prisons, but it is still allowed in 19 schools in the United States. At least 4,000 children are hit in schools throughout the southeast, including Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama.
