Blood, Sweat, and Heels star Daisy Lewellyn died Friday morning after a two year battle with bile duct cancer.

The young fashion expert and star found out about her diagnosis after she was getting her makeup done during the show’s second season.

“My makeup artist was like, ‘Your eyes are, like, green.’ Like the white of my eyes were lime green,” Lewellyn recalled. “So I go to the doctor. They run some tests, and he was looking like he just saw a ghost.”

The 36-year-old told Madame Noire about her diagnosis in an interview a year ago in March:

“It was kind of shocking. But also when I was diagnosed, I remember some of my immediate thoughts being like, ‘Well, you know what? I’m not afraid to die,’” she told the site. “It wasn’t like I wanted to die and it wasn’t like I didn’t want to live because I absolutely love my life and I’ve always loved my life, but they told me it was stage three cancer. I was like, ‘Well, if it’s my time to go, I’m okay with it.’”

In 2010, Lewellyn published her first book “Never Pay Retail Again: Shop Smart, Spend Less, & Look Your Best Ever.” The book inspired her to throw herself into the industry full-force.

That passion paid-off when she was selected in 2014 to star on Bravo’s hit reality show. As the show  gained popularity, the young woman became one its breakout stars.

Bravo released this statement acknowledging the young woman’s talent and love for life:

“We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo’s Blood, Sweat & Heels has passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of cancer,” Bravo said in a statement to PEOPLE Magazine. “Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends. We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy is expressed.”

Lewellyn’s infectious personalty and hilarious one-liners were on full display for viewers. The show was also a testimony to her undying strength as she gracefully lived her life to the fullest despite her diagnosis.

The fashion expert and reality star has had an enviable career. She also served as an editor at Essence Magazine from 2006 to 2007.
