Nicki Minaj Wax Figure Causes A Frenzy; Madame Tussauds Releases Statement

Her sexy video for the hit song, “Anaconda” inspired the waxy version of the Trinidadian-born rapper’s figure.  There’s only one problem: Fans and wax admirers from all over the world are taking pictures with Nicki Minaj’s likeness and some are posing “inappropriately” with it. One guy posed behind the waxed replica of Minaj and had his private area placed on the figure’s rotunda rump. As an immediate result, the museum addressed in a written statement that they are going to beef up staff to guard the statue so it doesn’t inspire anymore sexually explicit selfies.

“We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure,” the statement says. “Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate this this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately.”

The museum apologized for any offense caused and insisted that a host wasn’t present when the lewd picture was taken.

“We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again,” the statement said.

Days before this statement was released by the wax attraction, fellow New York rapper Azealia Banks, who is known for controversy and often tweeting and speaking her mind, was appalled by the “on all fours” stance Nicki Minaj is immortalized in.

“Wow, they finally give Nicki Minaj a wax figure and it’s a stature of her bent over on all fours…… White people yo….”, said the “212” rapper. “As much as that woman has accomplished, they had to put her on all fours… Why not standing up with a mic in her hand ??? All ppl are gonna do is go up to that state and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt. But if u like it I love it”. [sic]
