Lisa Bonet Wants to Be Left Out of the Cosby Rape Allegations

During the massively public rape allegation scandal against her former television father Bill Cosby, Lisa Bonet has not spoken out— despite what social media has reported.

Over the weekend “The Cosby Show” veteran was the center of false reports after a cryptic tweet surfaced which made it look like she was possibly referencing Cosby.

The tweet that had everyone wondering about Bonet’s side of the story read, “According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky. Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!”

“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind,” her manager told People magazine, in response to the allegations. “Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story.”

The fake tweet seemed as though Bonet, who played Denise on the acclaimed family television show, was referencing the multiple allegations of women who have come forward saying that Cosby sexually assaulted them years ago.

False reports also circled around another “The Cosby Show” favorite, Raven Symone. She quickly shut down any allegations that she was involved in the matter, claiming that she was treated with nothing but respect by her former costar.

“I was NOT taken advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!” she wrote Wednesday on Instagram. “I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”

As of November 22, sixteen women have publicly stated that the 77-year-old sexually assaulted them, with 12 saying they were drugged and one saying he attempted to drug her.

Cosby has yet to address the renewed claims against him, although his lawyer, Martin Singer, has blasted them as “increasingly ridiculous and … completely illogical,” according to New York Daily News.
