Chris Paul Gets the Anniversary Air Jordan 1s; Are More on the Way?

CP3_AirJordan1sTwo of the four Jordan Brand NBA players are expected to be getting their own pairs of the Air Jordan 1s in celebration of the sneaker’s 30th anniversary.

A week after New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony’s gold pair leaked, another shoe with a light blue “CP3” logo appeared, generating speculation that superstar Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers might be getting a pair as well.

Paul’s Air Jordan 1’s are navy and white with a light blue Nike swoosh in its typical spot along the mid-section of the shoe. The white Jordan logo blends in with the white heel of the shoe.

The original designer of the Air Jordan 1 was Peter Moore. Jordan wore the shoe during the 1985 NBA season and the shoe retailed for $65 at the time. Jordan Brand hasn’t released a drop date, and it’s unclear whether the shoes are just for Anthony and Paul or will be for sale at some point in the future. But the news did grab the attention of complex.com, solecollector.com and sneakerreport.com.
