Kelly Rowland Gives Birth to Baby Boy, Titan Jewell

Kelly Rowland

Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Tuesday. The 33-year-old “Motivation” singer and husband Tim Witherspoon welcomed Titan Jewell Witherspoon into the world at 1:30 p.m. The baby was healthy and weighed 7.5 lbs.

“We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon,” Rowland told Us. “Titan was born at 1:30 pm [PT] and weighed 7.5 lbs. We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!”

The sex of the child comes as no surprise after Rowland accidentally let it slip that she was having a boy in an interview with FOX 411 on July 30.

“So far, everything has been good,” she said during the TV interview. “I just feel like the baby is already [spoiled] rotten- like literally my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys. It’s just so cool.”

Realizing her mistake, she then quickly called her husband.

Though releasing the sex of the baby was unplanned, Rowland was all too happy to share the news that she was pregnant. She announced that she was officially expecting in June after wedding Witherspoon in May in Costa Rica.  She revealed her big baby news via Instagram, posting a picture of baby Jordans with the caption, “I’ll be stuntin like my daddy.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Rowland was not shy about showing and embracing her new body. She did a nude maternity shoot with Elle to showcase her new curves.

“I took a birthing class and I was amazed by all the things this woman was saying to me about birthing and what the body does naturally,” Rowland said. “Why wouldn’t you want to celebrate that?” she told the magazine.

The four time Grammy Award winning artist revealed that she tried to remain as healthy and fit as possible throughout her pregnancy.

“It’s fine to have your cravings but I wanted an easier delivery,” she said in the same interview. “All the women that I’ve talked to, that have worked out, have such an easy and speedy delivery. Exercise really helps that.”

That exercise must have really paid off as Rowland and Witherspoon seem happier than ever with their new, healthy bundle of joy.

“It’s Godmazing watching your body carry a human,” Rowland said. “The body should be celebrated.”
