Boss of The Bosses: Diddy’s “Big Homie” Feat. Rick Ross

Diddy is apparently prepping for a new album that should be released this year, as he releases a new single “Big Homie” that features Rick Ross. Diddy and Rozay have been working closely together on Ross’ Mastermind album, however it looks like the collaborations have spawned some records for Diddy as well. As reported by rap-up.com:

“Puff Daddy dusts off the mic with his first solo single in nearly four years, ‘Big Homie.’ The Bad Boy boss proclaims his supreme status on the boastful anthem featuring Rick Ross. ‘I be calling all the shots, I’m big homie,” raps the multimillion-dollar mogul, who topped Forbes’ “Cash Kings” list.

“Earlier this month, a fur-clad Puff took to the streets of Atlanta, Miami, and Harlem to shoot a video, with cameos from French Montana, A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill, Nelly, Ashanti, and more.”

Diddy may not be the best rapper in the world, but he’s definitely one of the best when it comes to talking trash on the mic. Like he said in his iconic line on “Bad Boy For Life”: Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks”. According to allhiphop.com:

“The Bad Boy founder lays out some truths on top of a barrage of hi-hats and pulsating drums. These truths include Diddy calling all the shots (hence the song’s title), that he’s very popular and he’s respected enough to wear expensive jewelry and not get robbed. ‘You,’ on the other hand, don’t hold as much prestige: ‘You show up with your jewelry on and leave without it.’

“Don’t expect Ross to play Diddy’s straight man, either. While Diddy just stunts, the MMG leader puts in the dirty work in order to accrue wealth. Specifically, it’s drug trafficking. ‘I make my bitches traffic dope, that’s my profession / She swallow dope and looking pregnant, time for c-section,’ he informs us, although you know it’s not true because it’d be ridiculous for someone to snitch on themselves like that.”

Diddy’s rhymes will definitely add to his collection of classic smack -talk verses like the ones on Future’s “Same Damn Time” remix and Wacka Flocka’s “O Let’s Do It” remix.
