“Mythbusters” season 13, episode 1: “Star Wars: Revenge of the Myth” premieres tonight on the Discovery Channel and the MythBusters are strong in the force.
Season 13 kicks off tackling Star Wars myths. Discovery Channel’s MythBusters is looking to debunk or confirm the plausibility of some famous scenes from the Star Wars saga. Hosts Jamie Hyneman, Adam Savage, Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tory Belleci have chosen memorable scenes from the movie to replicate and bring to life. Could a primitive log-swing weapon really take out a reinforced armed vehicle? Kari, Tory and Grant discuss their approach to this Ewok myth from Return of the Jedi, … while in costume. As Grant cuddles with R2D2, Kari reveals a Han-Leia inappropriate moment that apparently only she missed in Return of the Jedi.
