Teyana Taylor Dropped From Adidas After Rihanna Twitter War?

Recording artist Teyana Taylor may have been dropped from her deal with Adidas after she went head-to-head with Rihanna on Twitter a few weeks ago and posted an edited photo of a beaten Rihanna in a boxing ring.

Teyana was to release a new line of Adidas sneakers for Black Friday, but needless to say the sneakers were nowhere to be found over the crazy holiday shopping weekend.

Before the shopping holiday arrived, a petition was  started online demanding that Adidas stop supporting Teyana and her sneakers.

The petition creators based the request on an edited photo that Teyana posted on her own Twitter account. The image was composed of photos of Rihanna after she was attacked by rapper Chris Brown and it was edited to appear as if Rihanna was in a boxing ring with Teyana.

The image sparked much controversy and outrage as people felt that Rihanna’s past domestic violence experience should not be used as a joke.

“This is not about Rihanna, this is about all the abused women of the world being mocked! It is a shame   that Adidas seems to be endorsing @TeyanaTaylor,” the petition reads. “We demand that you do the right thing and terminate her contract and send a strong message to your consumers! Letting one of your sponsors mock a domestic violence victim discourages your female customers from speaking out against their abusers!!”

While neither the company nor Teyana have made an official public statement, it appears the petition may have caused the shoe company to reconsider their relationship with the GOOD Music artist.

Just a few days before Black Friday, Teyana sent out a tweet hinting that she had lost a major opportunity but is holding on to her faith, nevertheless.

“One door closed….So God opened up 3 more for me,” she tweeted along with several hashtags including one that said “#AlwaysHaveFaith.”

Fans are still trying to figure out where the Dark Knight sneakers are and why no one has explained why  they were not available in stores on the announced release date.

Meanwhile, Teyana’s rep denies all allegations that Teyana was dropped from the deal with Adidas but the rep failed to offer any other explanation for why her shoe release was canceled.
