Kanye West has been making his media rounds as he travels and continues to promote the Yeezus tour. West sat down this morning for an extensive interview with L.A.’s Power 106 this morning. As reported by direct lyrics.com:
“Kanye West woke up extra early this morning and took his talents over to Los Angeles radio station Power 106 for a sit down on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. Along with dropping a rare live freestyle, ‘Ye opened up about getting married to Kim Kardashian, Paparazzi issues, Jimmy Kimmel, Kendrick Lamar, fashion, and much more throughout the 2 hour visit.
“‘We’re really in the same raft anyway, everyday that man Justin is going to the studio and making music to make people happy and dance and have a good time…And everyday Jimmy Kimmel is going in there and writing creative ideas to make people laugh’ said ‘Ye (1:34:00) when asked whether he would save Jimmy Kimmel or Justin Timberlake if stranded in the middle of the ocean on a raft. Nice conscious answer from the Chi-town native.”
Since his Zane Lowe interviews and recent beef with Jimmy Kimmel, Kanye has seemed a bit more mellow lately. Maybe his management or publicist told him to tone it down a bit, or maybe his recent engagement to Kim Kardashian has made him a happier man.
Kanye’s “Yeezus” tour has gotten off to a great start, and he will be performing the second of two L.A. shows tonight, which also feature west coast rapper Kendrick Lamar.
