Morgan Freeman is set to join the cast of the upcoming action thriller, “Momentum.”
Based on a screenplay by Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan, the film will follow a thief (Olga Kurylenko), who is trying to avoid both the law and a deadly gang of assassins, led by fellow actor Vincent Cassel’s character.
Freeman, 76, joins fellow actors Cassel, Kurylenko and Shea Whigham to round off the cast.
Best known for his work as a Hollywood camera operator, this will mark Stephen Campanelli’s directorial debut.
Filming is expected to begin January 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Freeman recently completed the film “Last Vegas,” which hits theaters November 1, 2013.
