After what’s been a great summer of rap album releases, it looks like we will be in for a great winter of rap tours. and Jay Z all announced tour dates today. According to globalgrind.com:
“It’s Yeezus season. Kanye West is hitting the road on his first solo tour in five years, and he’s bringing Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar with him.
“There were rumors the new father would be embarking on a tour after the birth of his adorable daughter North West, and the rumors prove to be true.”
A few hours later, Jay Z announced his schedule for the Magna Carta World Tour. Seems like Yeezus and Hov are sticking to the trend of releasing news together, as they did earlier this summer with their albums. According to complex.com:
“Well, this is strange. An hour after Kanye West announced the Yeezus tour with Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z finally dropped the North American tour dates for the Magna Carta World Tour.”
Both shows promise to be epic, but it would have been better if the trio went on the road together.
