Baltimore Orioles’ Adam Jones had a major issue after his team’s win in San Francisco, when a Giants’ fan threw a banana in his direction on the field.
Following the Orioles’ 10-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday, Jones claims that somebody threw a banana at him. He took to Twitter to express his disgust:
“I want to thank whatever slapdick threw that banana towards my direction in CF in the last inning. Way to show ur class u jackass.— Adam Jones (@SimplyAJ10) August 11, 2013.”
“I love how some ppl are defending the actions by someone today. Shows how u really are also. All good wit me. I just #StayHungry— Adam Jones (@SimplyAJ10) August 12, 2013.”
According to The Baltimore Sun, Jones didn’t mention anything about the incident to reporters during the postgame interviews.
On Sunday, Giants senior director of media relations Jim Moorehead told The Baltimore Sun that the stadium security cameras would be checked Monday to see if the incident occurred.
