Plaxico Burress’ Torn Rotator Cuff May End Career

Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Plaxico Burress has a torn  rotator cuff, which may classify as a season-ending injury.

According to multiple reports, in practice while trying to make a catch over a defensive back Thursday, the wide-out was hurt after landing on his right arm.

This season is likely over for Burress, who will need surgery. Reports say the procedure and the heal time will possibly end his season.

Burress has reportedly talked to his friends privately, saying that this season would be his last—no matter what happened on the field. At this time, there isn’t any information on whether Burress has changed his mind about  his future after this injury.

The 36-year-old spent 11 seasons in the NFL playing with the Steelers, New York Giants and New York Jets, where he has 553 receptions for 8,499 yards and 64 touchdowns.
