The actor and host of the sports awards show took shots at the center and his choice to leave the Los Angeles Lakers for the Houston Rockets.
During his opening monologue, Hamm mentioned Howard’s name and got boos from the L.A. crowd. Then the boos turned to laughter, as he introduced Howard’s greatest moments as a Lakers player in a one-second clip.
As the camera zoomed in on the audience, Dwyane Wade, Adian Peterson and many others can be seen laughing.
Howard signed a four-year, $88 million-deal with the Rockets.
