Boss Move: Jay-Z Seeks to Sign Yasiel Puig, Yoenis Cespedes to Roc Nation Sports

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, who has just begun his career as a major-league player, has performed so well that he has attracted the attention of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. The rap mogul-turned-sports agent has focused his attention on both Puig and Oakland Athletics outfielder Yoenis Cespedes to add to his client list.

Roc Nation Sports has teamed up with Creative Artists Agency to represent and market only superstar level clientele. Roc Nation Sports’ roster includes all-star basketball player Kevin Durant, Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

It’s been reported that Jay-Z reached out to Puig and scheduled a meeting. After the encounter, the 22 year old Puig was highly interested.

Hailing from Cuba, the outfielder came to the majors in June, quickly gaining the respect of fans and players. In just one month, he was named National League Rookie of the Month and National Player of the Month.
