On the Come Up: Brad Stevens Talks About Being Boston Celtics’ New Head Coach

Being young and lacking NBA experience is generally regarded as a recipe for failure in an NBA coach, but the Boston Celtics didn’t seem to care about that when they hired Brad Stevens as the new head coach.

Stevens was introduced on Friday as the new coach of the Celtics. He agreed on Wednesday to a 6-year contract that will pay him $22 million to help the ball club and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge rebuild a franchise that won’t have Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and coach Doc Rivers.

In the video above, Stevens talks about what it feels like to be the new head coach of the Boston Celtics and his plan for the upcoming season.
