Lil Snupe Shooting Suspect, 36, Turns Himself In to Police

The 36-year-old man suspected of shooting and killing 18-year-old Lil Snupe has turned himself in to police Tuesday morning in Louisiana.

A news release from Johnny Ray Carpenter, the Winnfield Police Chief, revealed that suspect Tony Holden has been arrested on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

No bond has been set for Holden, but an eerie possible motive has been revealed by supposed witnesses and friends of Lil Snupe.

Friends of the young rapper, whose real name is Addarren Ross, claim the suspect got into a heated argument with Ross while they were playing video games.

While the reason for the argument has not been revealed, it is heartbreaking to discover that the teenager was simply playing video games moments before his death.

The Louisiana native had also just been signed to rapper Meek Mill’s record label, Dream Chasers, after he was determined to give the Young Money rapper a homemade mix tape after one of his concerts.

Holden has been accused of shooting the young man twice in the chest last Thursday at a friend’s apartment.

The ages of the other witnesses and guests at the friend’s apartment are unknown and it isn’t clear if Ross had any preexisting relationship with the suspect or if he had just met the man that night.

Police believe that the manhunt that had been issued for Holden encouraged him to turn himself in rather than go on the run while being branded as “armed and dangerous” – which does give authorities the right to shoot at Holden if they feel necessary to do so.

There were also posters of the suspect already released along with a detailed description of him

Meanwhile, friends and family of Lil Snupe are doing what they can to remember the young hip hop star.

Meek Mill has featured several clips of the youngster in his music video for “Nobody” and also included a message for him.

“May you rest in peace / Forever a Dreamchaser,” the message reads.

The video reveals the young rapper cheerfully performing at several shows and admitting that he was chasing his dream not only for himself but for his mother and father as well.

Funeral arrangements for Lil Snupe have been scheduled for Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at Jonesboro-Hodge High School.
