It is simply unacceptable that we have gone this long without an article about this trailer. This is the concluding film of the “Blood and Ice Cream” trilogy, director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s three films of horrifying violence and Cornetto ice cream. The previous installments in the series, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, are two of the best comedies of the 00’s. So we have reason to be excited for this film.
Pegg and Frost, along with Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, and Eddie Marsan, star as a group of friends seeking to re-create an epic pub crawl from their youth in their hometown. Except it soon becomes evident that something apocalyptic and John Wyndham-ish is going down in said town.
In a twist on the established formula of the Blood and Ice Cream films, here Pegg is playing the wacky half of the leading pair, while Frost is the straight man. Presumably, the amount of blood and the usage of Cornetto will remain unchanged.
