Jamie Foxx On Horror Show For SyFy: Get Ready To Lose It!

Jamie Foxx has acquired top honors in comedy, music and acting now the star has focused his attention on a project that would take him behind the camera and dig into his pockets.

Deadline reported that Foxx will write, direct and executive produce a scripted horror series for the Syfy network. The untitled show is said to be a five-episode horror anthology that will handle themes such as envy, jealousy and superficiality. The program will air during Syfy’s annual 31 Days of Halloween in October.

“This is a project that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m so happy to see it come to life,” Foxx disclosed. “Get ready to lose it when some special friends and I bring the scares this October, and who knows… maybe I’ll make a guest appearance or two along the way!”

Foxx will be working with TV comedy vet Troy Miller (Flight of the ConchordsArrested Development), who will serve as executive producer. In addition to Django Unchained actor, other writers signed on to the series include Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation, Primeval) and John Pogue (Everwood, Army Wives).
