Lil Wayne Seizures Caused By Epilepsy, Not Drugs

Lil Wayne revealed that epilepsy is the cause of his multiple seizures, not drugs.

When Lil Wayne was rushed to the hospital after having yet another seizure, there was much speculation and rumors that suggested the tattooed rap star’s drug habits had caused his medical issues.

As it turns out, Weezy is actually epileptic and his love of sizzurp has nothing to do with his seizures.

“The bad news is I’m an epileptic, I’m prone to seizures,” Wayne explained to the L.A. Power 106 radio station. “Like, this isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, y’all just never hear about them.”

He then explained that even though he was used to having seizures, this was certainly his most severe.

“But this time it got real bad ‘cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent,” he explained. “Basically, I could’ve died, so that is why it was so serious.”

Weezy then went on to explain that another factor for the seizures is “just plain stress.”

“But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself,” he added.

Luckily, he made a full recovery even after the three back to back seizures and dangerously low heart rate and all in time for the release of his new album I Am Not A Human Being II.

Lil Wayne’s epilepsy may also explain why the hip hop Barbie Nicki Minaj wasn’t worried about her mentee when the seizures happened.

Minaj explained that she already knew Weezy had people around him who loved him and would take care of him and the “No Worries” rapper took the time to reiterate that statement.

“They already know how to handle it,” he said of everyone in his camp who has helped him through seizures before. “Certain times I don’t even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because, like I said, it was three in a row, and I’ve never had three back to back like that.”

Fans are just happy to see that he is doing okay and hopefully now that Lil Tunechi’s epilepsy is out in the public eye he can find new platforms to reach out to children who are suffering from the same condition.
