James Marsden’s pretty face will be the perfect rival anchorman for Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Not only is the actor fun to look at, but his comedic chops are steadily improving.
Marsden has come a long way since playing Corny Collins in Hairspray and Cyclops in X-Men. Marsden is fresh off a stint on the late 30 Rock where he played Liz Lemon’s adorable husband. He also appeared in the dark indie comedy, Bachelorette.
You won’t have to wait until Anchorman 2 to drool over Marsden on the big screen. The actor just wrapped filming for the edgy romcom Walk Of Shame, alongside fellow 30 Rock guest star, Elizabeth Banks. He’s also slated to appear in SIX additional movies coming out later this year, including the buzzed about Lee Daniels film, The Butler, where he plays JFK.
As seen on Deadline.com, most details surrounding Anchorman 2′s plot are heavily under wraps, but casting news is steadily being leaking to excited fans. News of Marsden comes shortly after Twitter confirmation that Kristen Wiig will play Steve Carell’s love interest.
Hopefully Marsden’s fun to look at face doesn’t get marred in the all out Anchorman brawl promised by Director Adam McKay.
