Howie Mandel Returns To 'America's Got Talent' As Judge

Howie Mandel returns to America’s Got Talent for his fourth consecutive season as a judge, according to a brand new interview with Access Hollywood.

The Canadian TV host said, “I’m doing my fourth season of ‘America’s Got Talent,'” Howie told Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover, in the interview on Tuesday morning in Burbank, California. “I’m going to re-judge for my fourth year,” he added, with a laugh.

Howie went on to repeat himself, saying, “I’m thrilled to be back. This is my fourth year [and I think the talent] has been getting better and better every year.” We get it Howie- this is your fourth season on the show.

Howard Stern will also join Mandel, who earlier signed up for the next season of filming, which begins March 4 in New Orleans. Mandel says he called Stern to tell him the good news. “I phoned Howard, and I said I’m coming back, and he said ‘who is this?'”

There is no official word on Sharon Osbourne’s replacement as a judge on America’s Got Talent, but many gossip sites, such as HollywoodLife.com are speculating that Kris Jenner is gunning for the open spot.  However, if readers transition to more credible sites, such as an ABC affiliate website, the site will list other contenders.

America’s Got Talent producers are considering three woman for the vacant spot: Shannen Doherty, Carly Simon and Leann Rimes. Wow. What a list. Let us, the fans, speculate that Shannen Doherty will find some sort of problem will anyone affiliated with the show and Leann Rimes may show up under the influence of something (tune in to her appearance on X Factor). After narrowing it down from the disaster judges, that only leaves Carly Simon, which is the only logical choice.

Apparently Sharon Osbourne left the show after NBC discriminated against her son, Jack Osbourne. Sharon, 56, claims that her son, Jack, 26, was fired from the reality show, Stars Earn Stripes, by e-mail two days before he was supposed to begin filming, because NBC found out that Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

“It’s time to move on,” Sharon admits, as she revealed plans to go against her current contract with NBC. “They can’t make me do something I don’t want to do. All they can do it stop me from being a judge on another network for five years.”

Osbourne makes a perfectly valid point. If she morally believes that the network wronged her son, then why would she continue to work for them? Whether NBC discriminated against Jack or not, Osbourne has quit America’s Got Talent, leaving a vacant spot for most likely a female judge.

Do you think Sharon was right in leaving America’s Got Talent after seven seasons as a judge? Who do you hope to see replace Sharon Osbourne as a new judge?

America’s Got Talent will begin filming in March, with the show airing this summer 2013 on NBC.
