Fashionista Commits Suicide After Facebook Fight

New York fashionista Ashley Ann Riggitano committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping off the George Washington Bridge after getting into a Facebook fight with a close friend.

Those who worked with Ashley Ann claimed she was a smart, happy girl with a bright future ahead of her, but it’s the people she trusted the most that caused her to leap off the George Washington Bridge.

It was 4:40 pm on Wednesday when Riggitano made the fatal leap over the bridge, shortly after one of her so-called friends told her to commit suicide by overdosing on drugs.

A Louis Vuitton bag left on the bridge belonged to the fashion loving 22-year-old and contained a telling note that pointed out five other young women for making Ashley Ann’s life a living hell according to her.

The women were finally identified in the New York post as Alison Tinari, Teresa Castaldo, Beth Bassil, Samantha Horneff, and Victoria Van Thunen. The note also asked for none of the women to be allowed to attend her funeral.

While the note claimed all of the women contributed to her unhappiness, it may have been the spat with Alison Tinari that send the fashionista over the edge.

A string of Facebook messages reveals that Tinari exchanged some ugly words with the blonde haired beauty, even telling her to go commit suicide.

“Go try to kill yourself on Xanax again, you unstable loser,” she wrote to Riggitano. “Go f**k yourself and never speak to me again.”

The cruel message was supposedly Tinari’s response to Ashley Ann getting upset with her over her friendship with her boyfriend.

According to Alison, she was very close to Ashley Ann’s boyfriend, Drew Heissenbuttel – perhaps too close for Ashely Ann’s liking.

While Tinari may have delivered one of the harshest blows of the entire ordeal, she wasn’t the one who started the spat.

According to The Post, the Facebook feud started when Ashley sent an angry message to Alison concerning her ongoing friendship with Drew.

“Since drew cannot take care of the issue at hand, I will,” the angry rant began. “You have been nothing but a bitch to me every time you walked in the door ignoring my existence maybe because you were so concerned with picking up your drugs,”

She went on to accuse the dark haired beauty of using Drew for his money.

“Everyone who has spoken to me when I came into the picture told me all about you and his friends had nothing good to say except you used Drew for his money,” she continued.

Ashley Ann’s new enemy denied every using any drugs and responded to the Facebook message with a profane rant of her own.

“If you think I have time for your bullsh** think again,” Tinari replied. “I don’t give two sh**s about you. I did not post anything on facebook or instagram for you to see.”

The angry reply also referred to Ashely Ann as some girl that Tinari didn’t even know and called her a “pathetic loser.”

Tinari admitted that she doesn’t feel sorry for anything in the message except for when she told Ashley Ann to go kill herself.

Another name on the list of women banned from Ashley Ann’s funeral that shocked others was Victoria Van Thunen who was Riggitano’s business partner for her new jewelry-design business, Missfits.

Earlier that day, Thunen made a Facebook post that may have also contributed to the 22-year-old’s decision to end her life.

“Those who incessantly blame other as the cause of their issues should perhaps take a step back and reevaluate these situations,” Thunen posted. “The common thread may be that ‘they’ aren’t the problem, but rather that YOU are.”

As it turns out, this wasn’t the first time that suicide crossed the fashionista’s mind. Reports indicated that she had indeed tried to commit suicide before and police discovered prescription drugs inside her bad along with the suicide note.

Adderall, a commonly abused drug used to take ADHD, and Klonopin, an anti-panic drug, were inside the fashionista’s designer bag.

It’s obvious as to how Tinari contributed to Ashley Ann’s unhappiness, but the note tried to pin the other girls for being fake friends who were only around Ashley “for the gossip.”

She did have some good people in her life however, according to the note.

The New York fashionista wrote down three names of people who she claimed were the “only people I love & always there to tell sorry.”

The tragic death should serve as yet another reminder of how powerful words can be even if they are merely typed on social media.

While Ashley Ann Riggitano was in no way an angel or perfect (because nobody is) a group of supportive friends may have been all she needed to seek professional help instead of jumping off a bridge. When it comes down to it, have the most profane message in a Facebook fight doesn’t matter and it certainly doesn’t allow for anyone to “win” the feud.
