Jennifer Lopez' New Film 'Parker' Flops Big Time

It appears that ole Jenny from the block has lost all her appeal as a movie star. It could be that her time is up as a mediocre actress or maybe her public perception has changed since running around with her ghostly looking boy toy Casper Smart.  Anyhow, Jennifer Lopez’ new film, Parker, hit theaters yesterday and it was dead on arrival.

Parker (Statham) is a professional thief, who doesn’t steal from the poor or hurt innocent people. The film opens with Parker being asked to take on a five man job with a crew he doesn’t know. The job goes well but the leader of the crew double-crosses him. They shoot Parker and leave him for dead. However, he survives and follows them to Palm Beach, Florida to get revenge on them. Disguising himself, he enlists the help of real estate agent Leslie Rogers (Lopez), one of their targeted victims, to find out about the plan his former crew has made(wiki).

The actress/pop star plays in the action-packed crime drama alongside Jason Statham, which is showing in 2,224 theaters country-wide.  The film is currently #5 on this week’s box office charts but only managed to register $2.1M on Friday and is projected to finished the weekend with $6.3M. This is a horrible weekend at the theaters, normally $6.3M probably wouldn’t even rank in the top ten.
