Jeremy Strong To Play JFK Killer Lee Harvey Oswald In Movie 'Parkland'

Jeremy Strong has landed a role where he will have to snipe one of the most likable Presidents to date in US history. The actor will play in the upcoming John F. Kennedy assassination film Parkland, where he will be starring as the famous killer Lee Harvey Oswald.

Tom Hanks is producing Parkland, the movie based on the events leading up to the 1963 assassination of Kennedy, and his death at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he was pronounced dead on November 22. The project already has a star studded cast including Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton, Jacki Weaver, Zac Efron and Marcia Gay Harden.

Strong has been landed roles is some pretty promising movies lately. He was recently in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln and Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty. Being in films like those and now starring as Lee Harvey Oswald in Parkland may be the key to push him over the edge of movie stardom.  Well, it depends on how big his role is, or if he can carry it. Audiences will have to wait and see!

Former New York Times reporter, Peter Landesman, will be directing Parkland from a script he wrote and the movie is slated to hit theaters later this year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Kennedy’s death.
