A battle of the tweets erupted over the weekend, as Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes argued over the reason for Zolciak’s departure from the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Zolciak claims she quit, stating last week “I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama; I just had to walk.” The “drama” in question reportedly had something to do with a trip to Anguilla for RHOA costar Cynthia Bailey.
At the time, Kim was expecting her second child with husband Kroy Biermann and declined the trip, calling it quits with the show altogether.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star begs to differ. Over the weekend, Leakes tweeted:“It’s so funny how this chick wants people 2 think she quit the show! The producers no longer wanted 2 work wit [sic] u! Good bye wit the lies.”
Leakes continued her Twitter blast, stating: “None of the girls or producers wanted 2 work wit her! Saving face like all the other ex housewives! U were FIRED! Good bye.”
Zolciak quickly responded, “I definitely was NOT fired from RHOA. I can guarantee u that!!!.”
Zolciak continued that her upcoming Bravo spinoff disproves Leakes’s statement: “Bye hater!!!! Makes no sense to get fired and get a promotion! #staytunedhater.”
Leakes, always one to have the last word, responded: “U had an existing deal that [they] honored! Girl bye! Keep it 100. The brown girls won’t stand 4 the lies.”
In a RHOA trademark move, it seems as if Leakes has embedded a new catchphrase within an insult.
On last night’s episode, Zolciak dealt with an eviction from her Atlanta mansion, which spelled the beginning of her recent woes. Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss moved into her new home, and Cynthia Bailey got into a smackdown with Phaedra Parks.
Zolciak is just the latest RHOA cast member to walk. Kim’s former rival, Sheree Whitfield, left at the end of last season, also to vague claims the drama got her down.
The RHOA episode with Zolciak’s departure is set to air December 2 on Bravo.
