Robin Roberts reaches her 50 day milestone after her bone marrow transplant, and took to Twitter to share her excitement with her many adoring fans.
Roberts is still on medical leave from her co-hosting position on “Good Morning America” as she continues her battle with MDS but she promises to be back soon and has been keeping everyone updated on her amazing progress through blogs and social media.
“Happy Friday!” Roberts tweeted. “Day 50! Halfway to important milestone of 100 days post bone marrow transplant.”
After undergoing the transplant she was ordered to remain at home and to avoid any contact with germs as much as possible, but even the doctor’s orders couldn’t keep this strong woman away from the polls on Election Day.
“Wearing mask and gloves, I voted,” the 51-year-old tweeted. “Hope you did too.”
She also made her presence known in other ways, especially when it came to being a part of ABC’s “Day of Giving” telecast which aired Monday to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
