Bobbi Kristina and her grandmother Cissy Houston appear to have put their differences aside – if we are to believe the rumors. It was previously believed that Cissy, the mother to the late, great singer Whitney Houston did not attend her daughter’s Grammy tribute in protest to avoid Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend Nick Gordon. Whitney never officially adopted Nick, he was considered her “god son” so it’s not surprising that the family feels uneasy about the relationship.
“Cissy really wanted to be there for Whitney,” revealed a source close to the family.
“But she’s just too angry with Bobbi Kristina right now. Cissy and her oldest son Gary couldn’t stomach sitting next to Bobbi Kristina and Nick.”
Last night’s premiere of “The Houstons: On Our Own” however told a different story. Not only was Cissy on the red carpet she also embraced her granddaughter in several photos. On the red carpet Bobbi Kristina insisted they’re doing the show in hopes of making her mother proud,
“To me, it’s total respect for my mother, you know, showing that everyone cares. You know they loved her and they appreciated her, no matter what. Despite the trials and tribulations we’ve been through, we’re making it.”
