Rihanna’s Father Approves of Her Relationship with Chris Brown

According to a recent interview, Chris Brown has at least one supporter within Rihanna’s family supporting the renewal of his relationship with Rihanna. Ronald Fenty, Rihanna’s father, recently spoke to Heat magazine, admitting that he’d be comfortable with the pair getting back together.

“I’m hoping I will see him for Christmas. I know Robyn is coming home for Christmas, so I’m hoping that I will see Chris too,” he told Heat magazine, referring to his daughter by her birth name.

Fenty’s relationship with Rihanna has been strained, due to his struggles with drug abuse during her childhood. His public support of his daughter could be an attempt to get into her good graces, but no doubt, he understands a thing two about second chances.

“I have no problem with Chris getting back together with Robyn,” he said. “I think everyone makes mistakes and they shouldn’t be held onto forever. Everyone should be forgiven once. I know they love each other. They always have.”

Rihanna admitted that she still loved Brown during a summer interview with Oprah, even after Brown’s 2009 assault on her. The restraining order barring the two from seeing one another was lifted last year, with Rihanna’s approval.

“She’s happiest when she’s around him and as long as she’s happy, I’m happy,” Fenty added.

While neither Brown nor Rihanna have publically admitted to a rekindled romance, rumors continue to surface. Rihanna is currently wrapping up her new album Unapologetic for release next month, and according to MediaTakeOut, the stress has boiled over into their relationship.

“Rihanna is under a lot of stress [with her new album] and she wants [Chris] with her all the time. But Chris has his own stuff to do,” an insider told the website. “[Rihanna] is very extra. She orders him around like ‘come here’ . . . ‘do this.’ That sh*t used to work before [when Chris and Rihanna were together], but Chris is a lot older. He’s a man and so you can’t do him like that anymore.”
